Rochelle Kollek (ロシェル・コレック, Rosheru Korekku) is a supporting character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. Rochelle is the secretary to Mayor Aaron Barcai of Schradt, among other responsibilities.

Biography

Rochelle Kollek served as Aaron Barcai's administrative assistant during his tenure as mayor of Schradt. Polite but forthright, she was known to be a great help to him, accompanying him often on outside trips.

When the Teras Pharma emerged in HIY 300 and was reported to Schradt, Rochelle would urge caution, suggesting that ramping up defenses would alarm the townspeople and also give the Holy Imperial Army reason to occupy the town for its own protection.

Following the hero's party's audience with Renefarious XIII in the Holy City of Thaksis, a Teras Pharma attack would occur on the Great Bridge between inner Ionia and Schradt. To the astonishment of all, this attack would be orchestrated by humans; the Vermilion Axe, under the leadership of Aaron and Rochelle.

In her role as part of Aaron's inner circle, she was much harsher and mocking in tone. She suggested to Ilia that Aaron had only adopted her for optics, helping him gain a position of power as part of their plans. Rochelle would also try to confuse the hero, claiming that Syggni Albreck had been a part of the nascent rebellion that formed after the tragedy of Martylion.

As part of Aaron's inner circle, Rochelle helped lead the Vermilion Axe in battle. She served as the commander for the Vermilion Axe siege on the Great Wall of Achlites but was forced to withdraw when reinforcements from Aaron never arrived. Aaron had left for the House of Wisdom instead. Alarmed, Rochelle would chase after him, meeting no resistance from the Grubs on Mt. Plegate.

Within the House of Wisdom, the truth was revealed. Rochelle had been the one who killed Syggni three years prior as part of her true role, a member of the Mountain Roots manipulating Aaron and the Vermilion Axe from the beginning as part of the Yggdrasilian Throne's plot to foment a permanent enemy to unite the land against.

Failing to stop Aaron from releasing the Teras Pharma contained within, Rochelle sacrificed her life to prevent the Teras Pharma from rampaging throughout Ionia by overloading the breeding devices within the facility, destroying it and its inhabitants completely.

Once the Yggdrasilian Throne changed history to move the Teras Pharma facilities to the Tower of Zoe instead, Rochelle's corpse was discovered there. Her and Aaron had killed each other in a fatal struggle there, similar to what had happened at the House of Wisdom.
