Cougar (クーガ, Kūga) is a supporting character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Cougar is a Furious Roar, a race from another world of the Infinity, who accidentally found himself trapped in this world.
History
Cougar was a warrior of the Furious Roar as well as a Starbearer in their world. He served as an adjutant to King Diulf along with Servillah.
It was said that Cougar was the most loyal aide Diulf had. When Megion challenged Diulf for the throne, it was Cougar who undertook the journey to Megion and persuaded the rival to back down. Megion, too, held great respect for Cougar's bravery.
He fell through a Gateway and found himself in Ladzaa Fortress where he was injured and pursued by soldiers of the Order of the One True Way. Cougar would be rescued by the hero and, feeling gratitude for both his actions and for not treating him like a monster, would stay and assist the Company for a time.
Cougar and the hero would become best friends and when finally able to return home through the Gateway at Ladzaa Fortress, promised to meet again one day. However, during his battle with the One King, Cougar would fight to his final breath, dying in the attempt.
Discovering Cougar's death through the Chronicle of the Furious Roar would impact the hero deeply.
Trivia
- Cougar's star is technically not known, but if he were the Tenkai Star, which is a possibility, he'd be the first non-human Tenkai Star in the series.
