The Giant Snake (大蛇, Orochi) is an optional boss enemy which appears in Suikoden V. It must be fought to recruit the character Byakuren.
The Giant Snake's stats depend on when it is fought by the player. If the Giant Snake is defeated and Byakuren is not recruited, the snake can be fought again after the player recruits an additional 20 Stars of Destiny. Should the player not have 20 Stars of Destiny or more left to recruit, Byakuren is rendered unrecruitable.
Information
When Byakuren's life feeding on the fish at the bottom of Ceras Lake was disturbed by the Imperial City Recapture Army lowering the water levels and making their home there, she would grow more and more irritated. Furious, she slithered onto the dock of the castle, attacking the Prince.
