Aila is a young Karayan warrior so is skilled with the bow and knowledgeable about the spirits which inhabit the Grassland. Raised in the Karaya Village, she tends to be conservative but is nonetheless a curious girl with a naïve personality.
When the Karaya Clan was attacked by the Zexen Knights, Aila survived the attack as she had left the village to pursue Sarah, whom her intuition made her suspect. In order to track her down, Aila would travel with Geddoe and his unit of the SFDF.
As she grew interesting in the outside world, she learned to read and write from Ernie at Budehuc Castle and fell in love with the sodas available in Caleria. She was uninterested in Karayan boys of her own age, finding them immature.
Following the Champion's War, Aila was still eager to learn more about the outside world and so asked to join the SFDF. Geddoe turned down her request but allowed her to accompany the group as a trainee.
