Mond (モーント, Mōnto) is a weapon seen in Suikoden II and Gensosuikogaiden Volume 1. It is a gun of the Howling Voice Guild.
Information
Mond was one of the ceremonial guns used in formal duels between gunners. The weapon was named after the moon, and stood for betrayal. Like its counterpart, Stern, Mond was a pistol.
Mond was the gun that Kelley chose during his duel with Elza, resulting in his death, as per the Howling Voice Guild's plotting. After this both Mond and Stern, Elza's chosen weapon, would be wielded by her as she became a fugitive.
For a brief moment, both Mond and Stern would end up in the hero's possession in Muse City when Elza gave him the guns, hidden in a package, in an attempt to evade the pursuit of Clive. After Elza's death, the guns would be returned by Clive to the Howling Voice Guild.
Trivia
- Mond is the German word for "moon" and in some portions of Suikoden II is localized as such.
