Anji (アンジー, Anjī) is a supporting character who appears in Suikoden. Anji is the leader of a gang of pirates, a crew which operated on Lake Toran.
Biography

Anji is the leader of a pirate crew, and the boss of Kanak and Leonardo. Prior to becoming a bandit, he was a merchant who owned his own ship before becoming a pirate in order to fight against the tyranny of the Scarlet Moon Empire. He was also an acquaintance of Tai Ho[1] and Yam Koo[2]. Anji was dismissive of the Toran Liberation Army[3] until Tai Ho requested he join, describing Anji as "wasting away[4]." Feeling slighted, Anji challenged Tir McDohl and his entourage to a battle[5], which the pirates lost. Afterwards, Anji expressed understanding of Tai Ho's sentiments and agreed to join the Liberation Army[6]. After joining, Anji expressed amazement at the size of Toran Castle, having previously thought it would be on the same scale as his own small hideout[7].
Following the Gate Rune War, Anji planned to enter into the shipping business with his subordinates Kanak and Leonardo[8].
