Rowd is fought in Kyaro Town when he attempts to detain the hero and Nanami for their supposed treason against the Highland Kingdom. He is accompanied by five Highlands.

The battle is intended to be lost as Rowd is much more powerful than the surrounding Highlands, but it is possible, though unlikely, to win with sufficient grinding.
