Razril (ラズリル, Razuriru) is a location which appears in Suikoden IV and Suikoden Tactics. It is a island town located in the western Island Nations.
Information
Razril was originally a seaport colony of the Dukedom of Gaien and fell under the duchy's control. The island had one of the largest ports in the region, making it a busy and frequent destination for ships traversing the Island Nations region. This in turn, made Razril a thriving trade hub as well as a center for ship manufacturing and repair.
In the past, Razril was a place of strategic importance and in order to maintain military parity with the Kooluk Empire, the Knights of Gaien were established on the island. Over the years, however, Razril's importance would decrease as the political climate changed in Gaien. The island would continue to be administered by Vincent Vingerhut up until the events of the Island Liberation War when the town was abandoned by its lord with the arrival of Kooluk forces.
Following its liberation during that war, Razril declared its independence from Gaien and would become a member of the Island Nations Federation. The Razril Marine Knights are stationed at this port town.
