The Underground Ruins (地下遺跡, Chika Iseki) are a location in Suikoden V. These ruins become available when recruiting Jeane but the lower levels are only available when Eresh is in the player's party.

Information

At the bottom of the Big Hole lay the ruins of this underground city, dominated by a large temple in its center.^[1]

The city was seemingly that of the Ancient Armes Dynasty, who lived in these lands long before even the Sindar, although details are shrouded in mystery.^[2]

The city was made up of two and three story buildings, none of which had entrances. All the walls facing south are blackened, as thought they were all burned simultaneously by a powerful force, though mysteriously no structural damage seems to have been inflicted.^[3]

Inside the temple lay a huge altar. Jeane once obtained something from this altar and, later, Eresh was able to open the altar, revealing a set of passages beneath the ruins.
