Sairoh (サイロウ, Sairou) is a minor character in Suikoden V. Sairoh is a retired trader whose trading network once extended through all Falena and beyond.

Biography

Sairoh is a retired old man, the grandfather of the trader Shinro, who enjoys spending his days peacefully in Raftleet. Although he may not look it, he once an incredibly prosperous and powerful trade in his own right. He had traded with Beaver Lodge in the past, trading with Fuwalafuwalu's father, who was leader at the time. Wasil's father also traded with Sairoh, noting that he was an aggressive, though fair, trading partner. His grandson, Shinro, particularly looked up to him as an inspiration.

His legendary success was known throughout the land and there were dark rumours about him being involved in the weapons trade during times of war, as well as having a large pirate fleet under his employ in the Island Nations. He retired soon after the death of Shinro's mother and father, Sairoh's son. It is said that this or simply the dark rumours that had trailed him, led him to retire. Whether these mutterings are true, and how accurate they may be, is currently unknown.

During the Sun Rune War, he encourage the Prince to get involved with trading and once he saw his success in making a profit from salt, decided to join the Imperial City Recapture Army. At Ceras Lake, he would open a Trading Post, making a lot of potch in the process.

Following the Sun Rune War, Sairoh would make his final retirement, spending his days relaxing in Raftfleet with Raja and occasionally helping his grandson out when need be.
