Richmond (リッチモンド, Ricchimondo) is a character in Suikoden II. Richmond is a detective who aided the New State Army with his investigative skills.

Biography
Suikoden II

Richmond is the self-professed best private eye in Radat[1]. During the Dunan Unification War, Richmond helped Apple, Riou, and Nanami recruit Shu for the New State Army in exchange for 1,500 potch[2].
Later on in the war, Richmond once again encountered Riou in Radat. Riou asked Richmond to join the New State Army and Richmond agreed, provided Riou win a heads/tails coin flip. Riou lost each coin flip, due to a trick coin.
Riou eventually figured out the trick and approached Richmond once more. Richmond then agreed to join the New State Army, as Riou had past his test and shown the ability to see through such cheap tricks[3].
At the New State Army's headquarters, Richmond provided investigations on future recruits, as well as information gathered from North Window Castle's inhabitants.
Following the war, Richmond returned to his private eye career in Radat[4].
Trivia
- Richmond is a cat-owner, and his cat can be seen with him in some of his illustrations.
- One of Richmond's suggestion box letters uses the phrase "Loose lips sink ships[5]"; this is a reference to a famous phrase from World War II, which meant Americans should avoid talking about ship movements, lest German submarines use the information against them.
