Biography

Oh, it's just that I specialize in cooking fish, but I'm also fairly confident cooking meat.

—  Myriel

Myriel was a young cook from Port Town Nabarre who fell in love with the apothecary Amory just before the HIY 100 Teras Pharma conflict, when he was stationed at the town and she was stationed as a provisions cook.

The two would marry following the war and Amory would open a private practice in Nabarre. Myriel was a talented seafood cook and the Yggdrasilian Throne's order to scuttle all ships brought the couple much distress. Because of this, when the hero and Sau Jin plotted to hide a ship on the Nabarre East Coast for future generations, Amory and Myriel agreed to help in the plot, so that in the future perhaps their descendants could enjoy the bounty of the ocean.

Although bashful about her talents, she would agree to share her recipe with the company's cooks out of gratitude. Although she specialized in fish dishes, she was also a skilled meat cook and it was her meat dish that she passed down. In the present, she was lauded as one of Ionia's masters of fish cuisine, though Numistro regarded her as a great chef in any field.

Following the end of the war, while keeping his public face as the best herbalist in Nabarre, Amory and Myriel continued to cover up the ship. In a branch of the Infinity where the chains of causality were broken, she boarded the first migrant fleet along with her husband. Enraptured with life at sea and the variety of fish found for cooking, Myriel chose not to disembark on the new continent, the couple living their lives on the ocean.
