The Chronicle of the Ancient Covenant (古き約定の書, Furuki Yakujō no Sho) is a Chronicle, a critical item in Suikoden Tierkreis. It is the surviving record of a world consumed by the One King.

The Chronicle of the Tatau Council is the surviving Chronicle of a world lost to the One King and world fusion.
This Chronicle belonged to the Magedom of Janam. The Reader Manaril, urged on by her mother, Rizwan, was able to use this Chronicle to research and implement Mage Arts, making Janam a great power on the continent. Janam was very protective of this Chronicle. King Danash VIII did not allow the hero access to it.
When Valfred trigger the 10th world fusion with the intention of overwriting Janam, wiping it out completely, Rizwan was able to expend the power of this Chronicle to resist the fusion, allowing Salsabil to survive and for El-Qaral to be destroyed but not completely erased, reinterpreted by the True Chronicle as the Janam Desert.
The spirit of Rizwan would then appear to Shams, now King of Salsabil, gifting him the Chronicle and awakening his status as a Starbearer. The vision imparted by the Chronicle would show the Nameless Hero, lost in despair as they lamented the loss of their world and the demise of another branch of the Infinity before attempting to galvanise themselves for one final attack.
