Connell (コーネル, Kōneru) is a supporting character in Suikoden II who also appears in Genso Suikogaiden Volume 1. Connell is a phonologist aiming to follow in his father's footsteps.

Connell aimed to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming a phonologist, concerned with the study of sound[1]. He studied the field at Crystal Valley before returning to the Forest Village[2]. He did not view himself as accomplished as his father but aimed to improve his talents[3].
Connell agreed to joined the New State Army upon request, stating that he would like the chance to hear the sound of people's hearts[4]. Even after joining the New State Army, he sometimes worried about his little sister, who he left in the Forest Village, despite asking the other villagers to watch over her[5].
Following the Dunan Unification War, Connell briefly returned to the Forest Village before setting out to Crystal Valley to continue his studies[6].
Genso Suikogaiden Volume 1
During the Highland siege on Greenhill City, Connell helped the captive Teresa Wisemail escape by using his Sound Rune to stun the rebelling Muse City soldiers with a cacophony of noise.
