Gustav Pendragon (グスタフ・ペンドラゴン, Gusutafu Pendoragon) is a character who appears in Suikoden II. He is the mayor of Tinto City.
Biography
|
During the Dunan Unification War, Gustav was head of the mining guild and therefore, according to the traditions of Tinto City, mayor of the mining town. As could be expected of a miner of his nature, his stature was comparable to veteran warriors and his words and actions were extremely brash and outspoken. This lend a feeling of security to the citizens of Tinto and his popularity as mayor was extremely high.
However, his tone and nature would soften completely in front of his daughter, Lilly, and would become a foolish and doting father around her. During the latter Dunan Unification War, Lilly was kidnapped by Neclord, throwing Gustav into a panic. After the leader of the New State Army rescued her, he quickly returned to normal.
Following the Dunan Unification War, Gustav did not join the new Dunan Republic but instead declared independence, establishing the Tinto Republic. By the War of the Champions of 475, he was still president of the nation.
