Karen (カレン, Karen) is a character in Suikoden II. Karen is a popular dancer in Kuskus Town who joined the New State Army.
Biography
|
Karen was a popular dancer in her hometown, Kuskus. She was trained by the famous dancer Mina in the Toran Republic, who had previously fought in the Gate Rune War. Her flamboyant and lively dances could uplift any patron. Though normally a shy person, Karen's personality seemed to change radically when she was dancing, fuelled by the elation of performing.
During the Dunan Unification War, Karen agreed to join the New State Army after its young leader was able to keep up with her in a dancing contest. She did many performances at the New State Army's headquarters, raising moral for the soldiers despite feeling a bit out of place herself.
After the war, Karen returned to dancing in Kuskus, where she remained popular with the men, although not with their wives.
Trivia
- You can win several unique, decorative items from Karen's dancing minigame, including Karen Statue A, Karen Statue B, Karen Statue C, Karen Painting 1, and Karen Painting 2. The latter prizes are harder to get, as Karen's dance steps on the last two levels of difficulty are random.
