Gary (ゲイリー, Geirī) is a supporting character in Suikoden IV and Suikoden Tactics. Gary is the husband of Ema and a believer in justice.
Biography

Gary was a man who travelled the Island Nations together with his wife, Ema. They also have a son which they have not seen for years. The couple arrived at the Kingdom of Obel shortly before it was occupied by the Kooluk Empire. Gary's strong character and sense of justice meant that he turned down the chance to escape the island, choosing instead to remain and offer support to Princess Flare and the people of Obel.
Once Obel was liberated, he would join the hero and help to fight the Kooluk Empire. Following the Island Liberation War, he and Ema would begin a journey towards the Scarlet Moon Empire, hoping to find a place to settle down.
During a stay in Merseto, Gary and Ema observe how Kyril battled some violent merchants at the port. Impressed by his responsibility and sense of justice, Gary decides to lend him his strength in his investigations of the Rune Cannons. He is greatly inspired by all the young people around him fighting for justice, something that reminds him of his own son. His contacts with the royal family of Obel still seem to be intact, as Gary is sometimes seen discussing the current situation regarding the Kooluk with Lino En Kuldes.
