Chapman (チャップマン, Chappuman) is a character in the original Suikoden game. Before and during the Gate Rune War, he was an armour merchant, but later quit his job to enter the entertainment industry.

Chapman was an merchant who ran an armour store in the town of Antei. He had a sharp tongue that frequently led him to argue and cause trouble with his customers. He supported the goals of the Toran Liberation Army and joined them in a characteristic flurry of righteous anger, opening an armour shop at Toran Castle, making the finest armour available at all times. His straight-forward nature meant that he never had any problem insisting on payment for his efforts, however.
After the end of the Gate Rune War, Chapman discarded the armour business completely and opened a theatre, which proved to be a great success.
