Hugues (ユーグ, Yūgu) is a supporting character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. He is a spear corporal who fought at Zephtelos Fortress during the HIY 100 Teras Pharma conflict.
Biography

Hugues was a Martylion spearman who served in the Holy Imperial Army's 2nd Branch. As such, he fought under Empress Astrid at Zephtelos Fortress during the HIY 100 Teras Pharma conflict. During the war he came to greatly respect both Astrid as a battlefield general and Siu Jin as a compassionate apothecary.
More reserved than his descendant Warrg, Hugues readily agreed to pass on his spear techniques to the spearmen of the Company. He got along with Ducas but was slightly worried about Ermione, whose damaged armor and desire to avenge her comrades, troubled Hugues.
He would further help the Company by planting an Era Tree sapling in Sidas Forest, allowing the group to meet Rodric and aid Seu Jin in the process.
Following the war, Hugues returned to his post as 2nd Branch spear corporal. He was a great help to Astrid in maintaining control of the army. In the branch of the Infinity where the chains of causality were broken, however, he instead served as escort on the first migrant fleet. His sincere and unwavering hope was invaluable to the migrants.
