The Imperial Guard (帝国近衛隊, Teikoku Konoe Tai, Imperial Guard Corps) is a Scarlet Moon Empire military regiment that appears in Suikoden. The Imperial Guard is a military force that included Kraze Miles, Kanaan, and Hero (Suikoden).
Suikoden
The Imperial Guard was one of the three parts of the Scarlet Moon Empire's military organization[1]. The Imperial Guard was responsible for a wide variety of duties within the Scarlet Moon Empire, including retrieving the Astral Conclusions from the Seer Leknaat[2], investigating and notifying towns of tax issues[3] as well as defending the emperor and the Imperial Capital, Gregminster[4].
Members of the Imperial Guard held a reputation for having prowess in battle[5][6] and were expected to be trained enough to fend for themselves in places such as Magician's Island[7].
During the late ages of the Scarlet Moon Empire, the Imperial Guard was commanded by Kraze Miles[8]; during Kraze's command, the Imperial Guard became known for corruption and brutality. Working for the Scarlet Moon Empire was considered to be an honour by Kraze Miles[9]. Kraze's assistant, Kanaan, used his position in the Imperial Guard to force his subordinates to obey him and claimed to disobey him was to disobey the Empire itself[10].
