The Headquarters (本拠地, Honkyochi) is the player's home base in Suikoden Tierkreis.
Information
This fortress served as the base for the hero and his Company. It appeared north of Citro Village along with Flesaria Forest as part of the 8th world fusion. Initially dilapidated and not a particularly large building, it was transformed into a large castle on the edge of a lake after the 9th world fusion.
Name
In-game, this is referred to as the Headquarters, or before its upgrade, the Fortress Ruins. The player enters a proper name for it during the story. Rätselhaft Castle (レーツェルハフト城, Rētsueruhafuto Jō) is used in manga and short stories published in the Genso Suikoden Tierkreis Official Character Guide. Rätselhaft is a German adjective meaning 'mysterious' or 'enigmatic'. This is the name most in use by the English-speaking fandom.
