Biography

Gizel Godwin was the scion of Stormfist and the only son of Marscal and Rosalind Godwin. In public, he advanced the perception of himself as a polite, young nobleman but behind the scenes, he shared in his father's ambitions and was skilled in deception and conspiracies. In the past, he was engaged to be married to Sialeeds, as part of a political arrangement, but this engagement was cancelled when the decision was made by the royal family to try and prevent future succession struggles. Gizel, however, was hurt deeply from the cancellation of this relationship.

Believing it to be the best method to advance the power of Falena, he worked with his father to manipulate the SY 449 Sacred Games, making him the husband-to-be of Princess Lymselia Falenas. Following the coup on the Sun Palace, this marriage would be rushed forward and so, Gizel would become her husband and Commander of the Queen's Knights. In this capacity, Dolph and Childerich would serve under Gizel throughout the Sun Rune War as he directed battlefield operations from the Sun Palace.

When the Imperial City Recapture Army reached Sol Falena, however, Gizel refused to let Lymselia escape, or to escape himself, and stood his ground in the throne room of the palace. Confronted by the Prince, the two clashed in a final duel. Gizel was defeated and with his dying words, lamented the future of the Queendom of Falena without the guiding hand of the House of Godwin.
