Gizel Godwin (ギゼル・ゴドウィン, Gizeru Godōin) is a central antagonist in Suikoden V. Gizel was the inheritor to the House of Godwin and the manipulative son of Marscal Godwin.
Biography
Gizel Godwin was the scion of Stormfist and the only son of Marscal and Rosalind Godwin. In public, he advanced the perception of himself as a polite, young nobleman but behind the scenes, he shared in his father's ambitions and was skilled in deception and conspiracies. In the past, he was engaged to be married to Sialeeds, as part of a political arrangement, but this engagement was cancelled when the decision was made by the royal family to try and prevent future succession struggles. Gizel, however, was hurt deeply from the cancellation of this relationship.
