Iluya Island (イルヤ島, Iruya Shima) is a location which appears in Suikoden IV and Suikoden Tactics. It is a island located in the northern Island Nations.

Information

Iluya Island was one of the closest locations in the Island Nations to the Kooluk Empire and so was chosen as the first target in the Empire's Southern Expansion Policy. Using the giant Rune Cannon constructed at El-Eal Fortress, the beautiful town, which spread out from a round plaza in its centre, was turned to ashes in an instant.

Most of the island's inhabitants were killed but some fortunate few drifted to other nearby islands like Nay Island. Following the island's destruction, the Kooluk would establish a garrison on the scorched land.

Following the Island Liberation War, the Island Nations Federation began reconstruction efforts and the island began to reclaim its former vigour piece by piece.
