Rodric (ロドリク, Rodoriku) is a supporting character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. He is an archer platoon captain who fought at Zephtelos Fortress during the HIY 100 Teras Pharma conflict.

Biography

Rodric was a young soldier who joined the Holy Imperial Army sometime before the HIY 200 Teras Pharma conflict. Despite his youth, he was ordered to Zephtelos Fortress as head of an archer platoon during the conflict. Despite looking intimidating, he was a sincere and introverted individual.
During the conflict, his archer platoon suffered and seemed unusually ineffective. Judging what had happened, Rodric came to believe that the arrows crafted by Seu Jin were the problem. Reporting as such, Seu Jin's reputation would diminish and the crafter being isolated and bitter.
Harboring some doubts, Rodric took a leave of absence from the army and secluded himself in the Sidas Forest, using duplicates of Seu Jin's arrows, crafted by Yowinn, to try and confirm or deny their effectiveness. When the Company came to Sidas Forest, he would recruit Luseri to help in the task.
Upon confirming that Seu Jin's arrows were, in fact, effective and that his men were the ones struggling to use them effectively. Rodric solemnly returned to the Aprio Desert to apologize to Seu Jin. Encouraging Seu Jin to not give up on his craft, even if he could not forgive him, Rodric would return to the Sidas Forest.
Rodric would continue to aid the Company by plating Era Trees in West Tourmarie and the Melisma Prairie so that they could meet colleagues of his. Although he suspected the army had dismissed him due to his extended absence, he still aided Astrid both in her confrontation with Bazarte Lugam and her fight against the Yggdrasilian Palace's Teras Fe Tys.
Following the defeat of the Teras Fe Tys, instead of returning to the 2nd Branch, he aided Seu Jin's work by testing the arrows he made. In a branch of the Infinity where the chains of causality were broken, he instead accompanied Seu Jin and the other Coutanese crafters to the site of the Coutan Republic, serving as their escort.
