Norma (ノーマ, Nōma) is a supporting character in Suikoden V. Norma is a traveling performer searching for a way to remove the curse that has afflicted her friend, Ernst.
History
Norma is a street performer traveling throughout the world with her leopard companion and childhood friend, Ernst. Norma actually only began street performing as a way to make ends meet while she and Ernst searched for a means to remove Ernst's Beast Rune from him, allowing him to become human again. It seems to some extent, Norma blames herself for what has happened to Ernst but the details are not very clear.
In the Island Nations Federation, Norma met Chisato and the two became friends. Some time after this, she would travel to the Queendom of Falena. There she and Ernst would perform in Stormfist during the Sacred Games before travelling to Raftfleet all the while searching for a powerful magician.
Eventually, the Prince brought the 'rune scholar' Levi to Norma and Ernst and so they agreed to join the Imperial City Recapture Army in exchange of Levi's help in investigating Ernst's condition. However, he did little to investigate the matter at first, often being distracted by the events regarding rare and powerful runes during the Sun Rune War, often frustrating Norma. Her main hobby was baking treats, so that Ernst can indulge his sweet tooth in human form on the full moon.
However, as the war came to its conclusion he did indeed begin investigations into the nature of the rune which caused Ernst's condition and following the war's end, he journeyed with Norma and Ernst to Zelant, where the incident originally took place.
