Kreutz (クロイツ, Kuroitsu) is a character in the original Suikoden game. Kreutz was a loyal follower of Geil Rugner during the War of Succession who stayed in the Dragon Knight's Domain following the war.

Kreutz served under Geil Rugner during the War of Succession. Following the death of Geil and the ascension of Barbarosa Rugner to the throne, Kreutz made his way to Dragon Knight's Domain. Even years later, he still considered Geil to be his only master[1].
There, during the height of the Gate Rune War, Humphrey Mintz invited him to join the Toran Liberation Army, considering him Geil Rugner's greatest general[2]. Kreutz accepted this offer for the chance to kill Barbarosa and avenge his master[3]. Following the defeat of Barbarosa and the fall of the Scarlet Moon Empire, Kreutz simply left the country, his vengeance secured[4], refusing attempts to bring him into the Republican Army[5].
