Mubal (ムバル, Mubaru) is a supporting character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Mubal is a devoted researcher at the Arcane Academy and a subordinate of 2nd Empress Consort Rizwan.
History
Mubal was an assistant at the Arcane Academy who was assigned to the Company upon their alliance with the Magedom of Janam. Mubal's role was to research the Mark of the Stars and the Chronicle of Fierce Regalia located at Company Headquarters.
Mubal greatly enjoyed studying Chronicles and when the Company eventually terminated its alliance with the Magedom, Mubal would decide to remain with the Company as it provided much more ample opportunity for study and research.
Although he often came off as dry and overly studious, Mubal was actually very passionate about his work as well as compassionate as regards others. He felt moved by Princess Manaril's plight and made no moves to block Prince Shams' attempts to rescue her, despite it potentially jeopardizing his own position.
Nuzhat was Mubal's former teacher at the Arcane Academy and after she joined the Company, he would often find herself in the doghouse with her. Nuzhat, however, hoped that, in time, Mubal could carry on the mage arts of the Magedom.
Following the war, Mubal would renew his studies under Nuzhat while also helping Manaril in her own research into Chronicles and the mage arts.
