Mourgent (ムールゲント, Mūrugento) is a supporting character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Mourgent is a mysterious swordsman, whose talents bring to mind a master of ages past.
Biography
Mourgent was an old, prodigious, swordsman who was discovered at a set of mysterious ruins on the Citro Plains. Although reluctant to interact with anyone, Yula and Gadburg, who he seemed to be familiar with, were able to convince him to leave the ruins and work alongside the Company.
Mourgent shares the same name as a near legendary Astrasian swordsman, known as the blademaster, such was his skill. It was said he was much beloved by both the people and his fellow knights but ended up being alienated by the king of the time and secretly disappeared.
That said, despite their similarities, he appears much too young to be the Mourgent of legend, these events having happened over a century past, though he is still a mysterious figure in many ways.
During his time in the company, he would do his best to avoid associating with Chrodechild and the Blades of Night's Veil. Following the war with the Order of the One True Way, it was said he began to travel toward the Empire of the North Star, though nobody knows for sure.
