Gau (ゴー, Gō) is a supporting character in Suikoden IV. Gau was a feral wild man, raised by monsters on the Hermitage Island.
Biography

Gau was a seemingly feral man, discovered on Hermitage Island, who had been raised by local monsters. His life before this, if any, is unknown. Due to his upringing, he tends to speak poorly and haltingly and focused on brute force as his solution to any and all problems.
After attacking the hero on Hermitage Island, Gau was defeated and impressed by his strength, agreed to join the Headquarters Ship. Although he had little understanding of the Island Liberation War and the reasons behind the fighting, he threw himself into battle after battle throughout the conflict. He would also form some sort of bond with Dario, with the two teaming up to unleash power attacks.
Following the war, he would head into the woods, continuing his wild rampage.
