The Gaien Soldier (ガイエン兵, Gaien-hei) is a fixed enemy in Suikoden IV. He can only be fought during the early game trip escorting the Orark Maritime Trade ship from Razril.
Information
This man was a fully-fledged Knight of Gaien assigned to the Gaien Ship for an escort mission to Iluya Island. Such knights are better equipped than trainees and their swords usually have some rune attached.
Such knights are usually busy with their assigned duties but this one was able to make time for training during the journey and would spar with the hero and Snowe if requested.
Two Gaien Soldiers would accompany Lord Vingerhut when he tried to reassert control of Razril following its liberation by the Allied Forces. These soldiers were easily dispatched and quickly left with Lord Vingerhut.
