Earls (アールス, Ārusu) is a region of the Toran Republic, and its predecessor, the Scarlet Moon Empire. It is the region containing the nation's capital, Gregminster.

Overview

Earls refers to the lands surrounding the capital of Gregminster. Both the Fortress of Kwaba and the Floating Fortress of Shasarazade protect Earls as the heart of the nation. It has a higher level of culture compared to other regions and is very active in commerce.

The region is bordered by the very high Banner Mountains to the west and the fortresses of Kwaba and Shasarazade in the south, making Earls very difficult to invade through neighbouring regions.

Trivia

• Also translated as Arlus, a more literal romanisation. Given its cultured and elite status, Earls might be closer to the intent of the name.
