History

The legendary master craftsman, the genius smith of the century who has surpassed even the Jin clan of Coutan! I am he, Yofeurs!

—  Yofeurs

Yofeurs was a talented blacksmith who worked on weapons for Thorwad Albreck and Badamhatan, among others, at the lake fortress during the HIY 200 Teras Pharma conflict and was all too eager to claim that their successes were purely because of his work. His extreme arrogance and florid speech hid a keen eye for detail and his natural talents.

When the Company traveled back to HIY 200 to defeat the wyvern at the Wyvern Nest, Yofeurs would be waiting for them, hoping to see Badamhatan's spear, which he had worked on, fell the beast that even the Teras Pharma could not harm.

After some time examining the body of the defeated wyvern, Yofeurs would be inspired to craft a new piece of armor. He dismissed the notion of being a weapon specialist, stating his genius could not be tied to a mere single discipline. Later, he would spot a group of Grubs taking boxed Teras Pharma from the House of Wisdom to be released beyond the barrier but didn't have the context to realize what was happening.

He would be available to teach Noderry and Cadmus some of his blacksmith techniques and although he frustrated both with his arrogance, each recognized his genius in the field. He did not understand the power of the 108 Stars and so naturally assumed his own genius and greatness somehow allowed him to teach his pupils in mere seconds.

He would go on to be Noderry's master's master's (etc.) master. As much as the world changed following the fall of the barrier, Yofeurs' unusual mannerisms and fashion never changed, nor did the demand for his smithing skills, such was his talent. He joined Thorwad's emigrant caravan and eventually settled in the east.
