Lao-Kwan (ラオ・クアン, Rao Kuan) is a supporting character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Lao-Kwan serves as the leader of the Scribes, carefully monitoring the situation in the outside world, while maintaining the Scribe's isolation.

History

Lao-Kwan served as the Elder Scribe, the leader of the Scribes for the past few decades and was the bearer of the Chronicle of the Tatau Council. With her abilities, she was able to rescue the hero, Liu, and his allies from the space between worlds of the Infinity when they were trapped there by Diadora.

A decade and a half earlier, she had rejected Mun-Tsang's arguments in favour of confronting the Order of the One True Way and exiled her when she tried to steal the Chronicle of the Tatau Council. Lao-Kwan's isolationist policies were greatly supported by her fellow Scribes.

Liu, who had previously abandoned the Scribes due to their isolationist ways and ended up fighting against the Order, was chosen by Lao-Kwan as her successor. Passing the Chronicle of the Tatau Council to him, she would pass away peacefully. Greatly revered by the Scribes, it would take time for most to accept the transition.
