Gensosuikoden Brunch (幻想水滸伝 ブランチ, Gensōsuikoden Buranchi), subtitled as a 4koma & Short Comic Anthology (4コマ&ショートコミックアンソロジー, 4koma & Shōto Komikku Ansorojī) is a licensed manga anthology published by Kadokawa Shoten in 2001.
Information
Gensosuikoden Brunch is a collection of unconnected manga, all humourous, centered around the general time period of Suikoden II, allowing it to include returning Suikoden characters such as McDohl as well as events from Gensosuikogaiden Volumes 1 & 2.
What differs Brunch from its predecessor, Gensosuikoden Alliance, is its focus on shorter comedy stories. Many 4koma comics are included in between several of the works and even stories that start off seriously are quickly turned on their head. Three pages of color artwork are included in this volume and the mangaka Message Box section returns at the end.
