Kouan (コウアン, Kouan) is a town which appears in Suikoden. Kouan is a small town which is nevertheless one of the more prominent towns in the Gouran region.

A lot of the success of Kouan and, indeed, it's very survival has been credited to Lepant[1]. When Kraze Miles was appointed military commander of the town, it did not meet with the popular support of most residents[2]. In fact, when Kraze was run out of Kouan and Lepant joined the Toran Liberation Army, most rejoiced in the circumstances[3].
