The Karakas Desert (カラカスの砂漠, Karakasu no Sabaku) is a location in mentioned in the Suikoden series.

Information

The Karakas Desert spreads across the northwest of the Scarlet Moon Empire. In the City-State of Jowston, it is usually referred to simply as the Senan region. In preparation of expected invasion from Jowston, several fortresses exist on the southern fringes of the desert, including the Fortresses of Duha, Rakan and Moravia.

The desert makes up about 70% of the region and the walls that extend into the desert have existed since before the founding of the Scarlet Moon Empire. It is theorized that they were built by the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia.
