Leo Galan (レオ・ガラン, Reo Garan) is a supporting character in Suikoden III. Leo is one of the Six Mighty Zexen Knights.
Biography
|
Leo is one of the renowned Six Mighty Knights, the most skilled of the Zexen Knights. His size and strength, combined with his imposing armour, has led him to hold the nickname "Iron Leo".
When Leo first entered the ranks of the Zexen Knights, he had brute strength but was not much with a sword, leading to many sullen hours practising futilely. It would be Knight Captain Galahad who would suggest that Leo leverage his power by wielding an axe in battle, restoring Leo's zeal. As a result of Galahad's advice, Leo was soon one of the most powerful knights.
After the death of Galahad, Leo felt guilty for not being there to protect his captain. He would swear to protect Chris Lightfellow with his life to make up for this. Following the War of the Champions, Leo would continue to serve the Zexen Knights proudly in their border disputes with the Tinto Republic, always giving his all.

Trivia
- Leo's weapon upgrades as Schnabel, Schutozahn, Horn, German for beak, "protection tooth" and horn. The second name is incorrectly transcribed, it should be Schutzzahn. It's noteworthy that Schutzzahn is not a word known in German.
- Leo gets up to S level in his Damage and Armor Protect skill. He get the unique skills Adrenaline Power and Fighting Spirit, able to reach S and A levels in these, respectively. As awesome as his Melee gets, Leo's Magic ability might as well be nonexistent.
- Leo participate in the Knight B attack with Chris, and Borus or Percival. This only works when the party are mounted on horses. Leo also participates in the Manly Attack with Mua or Wan Fu.
