Evasion (回避, Kaihi), usually abbreviated as EVA, and called Repel (REP) in Suikoden III, is a statistic that appears in several games of the Suikoden series.
Information
Evasion or Repel governs the likelihood of a character to be hit by an attack. The higher the Evasion or Repel stat, the more likely they are to avoid being hit.
The Repel stat was introduced in Suikoden III but would be replaced by the functionally similar Evasion stat in Suikoden IV. The Evasion stat would also be used in Suikoden Tactics and Suikoden V. In other games, a different stat traditionally determines evasion rates, such as Luck or Technique.
In many games physical evasion is the only type of evasion, with magical attacks having 100% accuracy.
