Kobayashi Chiaki (Japanese: 小林 千晃) is a Japanese voice actor affiliated with Osawa Office.[1]. Most known for his roles as Kuga Hiroto in Gundam Build Divers and Bartholomew Roberts in Fate/Grand Order, he voices Sydonia in Suikoden STAR LEAP.
Biography
Kobayashi made his voice acting debut in 2016. His earliest recognized anime role was in Just Because! (2017), where he voiced a junior high school boy.[2] His breakout came in 2019 as the lead character Kuga Hiroto in Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, a turning point in his career.[3]
In 2021, he won the Best New Actor Award at the Seiyū Awards, recognizing his rapid rise in the voice acting industry.[4] Known for his clear, moderately pitched voice and emotional range, Kobayashi excels at playing both cool, composed characters and warm, heartfelt roles.[5]
Notable performances include Mash Burnedead (Mashle – Magic and Muscles), Gabimaru (Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku), and Langa Hasegawa (SK8 the Infinity), all of which elevated his popularity.[6]
Beyond anime, he has voiced characters in video games such as Deuce Spade in Disney: Twisted-Wonderland and Bartholomew Roberts in Fate/Grand Order.[7]
In 2024, Kobayashi released his first photobook, CHEER, on his 30th birthday, photographed in his hometown of Yokohama.[4]
