Information

These hawk-like monsters appeared towards the end of the Gate Rune War in the Arus region surrounding Gregminster. Soaring high in the air, they would swoop down with tremendous speed at their targets.

Etymology

A simurgh is a benevolent, mythical flying creature, depictions of which can be found in many cultures influenced by Persian culture. Iranian legends consider the bird so old that it had seen the destruction of the world three times over and it is said to possess incredible knowledge due to its longevity.
