Type Normal enemy

Magus (メイガス, Meigasu) is an enemy which appears in Suikoden.

The Magus has high PWR and MGC, making it a potentially high damage dealing foe. Its low DEF, however, makes it easy to defeat with physical attackers in your party. This glaring weakness prevents the Magus from being a serious threat to your party.

Etymology

Magus traditionally meant a member of a hereditary priestly class among the ancient Medes and Persians as well as, usually in the plural magi, the traditional three wise men from the East paying homage to the infant Jesus. Nowadays it is used more as a synonym for magician and does share the same Latin origin as the word magic.
