Kobolds (コボルト, Koboruto) are a race in the Suikoden series. Several prominent characters in the series have been kobolds.

Overview

On the northern continent, kobolds could be said to hold influence second only to that of humans with settlements existing in several countries, such as in the Great Forest or Two River Principality. They are possessing of a humanoid body with a head reminiscent of a dog and their way of living strongly resembles that of humans. They are usually shorter than humans.

Although they normally subsist on agriculture and are possessing of a bright and cheerful nature, kobolds are noted for often making excellent soldiers or tacticians in times of emergency. However, in some nations, such as the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia, kobolds can be regarded as inferior beings and are often treated as slaves.
