The Feitas Dragon Cavalry (フェイタス竜馬騎兵団, Feitasu Ryōma Kiheidan) is a military corps in Suikoden V. It is a Falenan dragon horse unit committed to internal neutrality.
Information
Based at Sauronix Castle in the south of the Queendom of Falena, this cavalry unit fought alongside and coexisted with dragon horses. A dragon horse rider was only allowed to go into battle after training and becoming a full-fledged rider together with their dragon horse partner.
The Feitas Dragon Cavalry was known for its strict rules, such as "no involvement in internal conflicts in Falena" and "no women in the cavalry". The cavalry's stubborn adherence to these principles was generally considered commendable, but at times was regarded as obstinate. At the time of the Sun Rune War, Craig Laden was the commander of the group but attempted to keep the cavalry neutral in order to abide by the rule that the Dragon Cavalry would not get involved in internal politics.
However, a Godwin Faction plot put the young dragon horses and their eggs in danger, and the Dragon Cavalry decided to cooperate with the Imperial City Recapture Army out of gratitude for their help during that crisis. After the war ended, Rahal took over as commander and there have since been signs of change, such as the acceptance of female dragon horse riders.
The first female Dragon Cavalry member was Lun from Raftfleet.
