Badeaux (バド, Bado) is a character in Suikoden II who also appears in Genso Suikogaiden Volume 1. He is a taciturn "Beastmaster".
Biography

Badeaux is a Beastmaster from the Grassland who uses his Rune of Mindfulness to speak with animals. Hero (Suikoden II first encountered him at the Muse-Matilda Border, although he would not talk until he heard "a voice", that is to mean the voice of a animal. Learning that Riou was a good master and that animals too were fighting, he joined the New State Army, saying he heard the voices of many inside Riou. He then gave Riou two Listening Crystals which allowed Riou to communicate with and recruit animals.
Although Badeaux communicated with animals, he was said to not be good when it came to human relations[2]. He sometimes spent his time on top of the castle feeding the pigeons[3].
Following the Dunan Unification War, Badeaux continued to serve as a Beastmaster, this time in the new Dunan Republic[4].
