History

I just think that we cannot save a world where the weak and those who will not fight are looked down on... That's all.

—  Nikumba

Narishuya was a yuga malicite crafter who supplied malicite for Yuyudraya during the HIY 100 Teras Pharma conflict. Following the conflict, instead of following either Narishuya or Yuyudraya, he decided to retire to the Perie Grove.

There, he would meet Lethe and seeing the similarities between her fate as the last refiant and that of the diminishing Yuga, decided to watch over her. The two would become friends, with Lethe calling Nikumba "Master", not due to any particular talent but due to him looking like an old master in her eyes.

When the hero came to Perie Grove in HIY 100, it was Nikumba who would tell the tale of the refiants. Worried about Lethe's condition, he would encourage her not to overtax herself. Although he found the refiant process unnatural, he held no disdain for his neighbor.

As a Starbearer, Nikumba was able to pass down his malicite crafting abilities to the Company. He would find Utze a little unusual but agreed that somberness was not a prerequisite to being a fine malicite crafter. Guwaini, however, briefly troubled the Yuga, who was worried that the featherfolk would become a martial culture over the proceeding 200 years. His fears were dissuaded, much to his relief.

Once Lethe passed away, Nikumba took care of her body and buried her with great care. Afterwards, he continued to live alone in Perie Grove.
