Sau Jin (サウ・ジン, Sau Jin) is a supporting character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. Sau Jin is a Coutanese armorer and head of the Jin clan.

History

Hahaha, funny you should say that! I reckon I'm at least twice your age, even though I look like this.

—  Sau Jin

Sau Jin was a Coutanese who served as an armorer at Zephtelos Fortress during the HIY 100 Teras Pharma conflict. He was the head of the Coutanese crafter group known as the Jin clan of Coutan.

Looking for all the world like a young child with a mustache, Sau Jin was frequently gregarious and prone to bursts of laughter. Speaking with the hero, he did reveal that he had some wistfulness for the homeland of his ancestors being lost to the Teras Pharma but also that it had happened long before he was born.

As head of the Jin clan, Sau Jin aided the Company not only by passing on his technique to the Company's armorers through recording his findings on stone slates but by introducing them to fellow clan members who aided them in turn. His most decisive contribution, however, was his helping the Company ensure a ship would survive into HIY 300 by directing the hero and Regius to the Nabarre East Coast and the hidden shipyard there.

Following the fall of the barrier, he came superintendent of the Nabarre shipyard, leading many craftsmen and sending out research and migrant ships. In the branch of the Infinity where Renefarious continued to reign, he continued to research new armor techniques while using every means at his disposal to cover up the existence of the ship.
