Karen is a popular dancer in her hometown, Kuskus. She was trained by the famous dancer Mina in the Toran Republic[1]. Though normally a shy person, Karen's personality seemed to change radically when she was dancing[2].

During the Dunan Unification War, Karen was asked to join the New State Army by Hero (Suikoden II. After the young leader was able to keep up with her in a dancing contest, Karen agreed to join.
