Selen (セレン, Seren) is a minor character in Suikoden Tierkreis. Selen is the martial arts master of Citro Village.

History

Selen was the mother of Jale and the best martial artist in Citro Village. She was rarely in the village as she often took jobs as a bouncer or bodyguard outside the village. She would make it a custom of hers to return to the village in flower season and duel her son.

She was often a refreshing and kind woman, but was scary to behold when she was angry. The men of Citro Village called her the "Storm" and feared her as a natural disaster. She often physically disciplined the hero as a youth but claimed she never did so out of anger.

Eventually, some point after he had joined the Company, Jale managed to beat her mother in combat. Now recognizing her son as a grown warrior, Selen listened to Jale's request and agreed to join the Company. However, she would later remark that she probably would have eventually joined the Company either way.

Following the war, she continued to serve with the Company, training with her son and watching him grow into a man.
