Banshee (バンシー, Banshī) is an enemy which appears in Suikoden.
Banshees can inflict the Silence status on members of your party but besides that, they are not very threatening. Their low DEF make them an easy target for regular physical attacks.

Etymology
The term banshee comes from the Irish bean sí ("woman of the sídhe" or "woman of the fairy mounds"). The banshee is a female spirit in Irish mythology, usually seen as an omen of death and a messenger from the Otherworld. In legend, a banshee is a fairy woman who begins to wail if someone is about to die.
