The Binoculars (遠めがね, tōmegane) are an item used by Ivanov in his studies of subjects for his work. He would use these to observe members of the Toran Liberation Army as subjects for his painting.

After completing his painting at Toran Castle as part of his quest to explore 'freedom' through the use of colors and his art, Ivanov gave McDohl the binoculars, stating that he didn't need them any longer.
